The Healing Nest offers a special once a month spa day for women who are currently in treatment for cancer or have completed treatment within the past year. It is a chance to step away from the everyday, relax, and enjoy a little well-deserved pampering in a warm and nurturing environment.
Each guest receives two complimentary services, along with a beautiful sit down lunch and the opportunity to connect with other wonderful women who understand the journey.
A day to step away, relax and be cared for
Our Monthly Spa Day
Soak your feet in warm, nourishing water while pulling toxins out, followed by a therapeutic foot massage.
Detox Foot Soak & Reflexology
Complimentary therapy believed to help reduce stress, anxiety and pain in people who have serious illnesses such as cancer. It is also known to help relax muscles and patients often find it brings a temporary feeling of well-being and relaxation.
Massage can also be used to relieve soreness and stiffness, increase mobility and reduce the pain of headaches and backaches.

A gentle cleansing, light exfoliation and moisturizing treatment with safe and natural products by a trained professional.

Gentle pampering to help you look and feel your best.

Learn a few simple tricks to look your best each day.

Reiki sessions are available at a discounted rate outside of the service day to those in treatment for cancer and just finishing.

Beyond service day
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person.
Studies and anecdotal evidence have shown that, in addition to promoting relaxation among patients, Reiki can also be used to encourage healing and provide other benefits. In fact, some studies have even explored the effect of Reiki on patients who are undergoing cancer treatment concurrently. These studies have found that, although Reiki is not a substitute for other cancer treatments, it may enhance these treatments and offer a number of benefits to patients as they deal with the symptoms and stresses of cancer.
Reiki
Guided meditation is offered each month at the completion of services and focuses on calming and healing thoughts. Our instructor will lead you through a peaceful meditation which will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

The Healing Nest of Washington, Michigan, is asking the community for gently used or new wigs to be donated to our organization to be distributed for free to our guests.
The guests of the Healing Nest are dealing with daily challenges. The loss of their hair from cancer treatment can be devastating.
